Apple Arcade: Apple Game Service FAQ

Apple Arcade is a premium service from Apple, offering exclusive mobile games without ads and in-game purchases. All this sounds too good to be true, so many gamers tend to ask all sorts of questions about Apple Arcade, wanting to better understand what this service is.

Below are the answers to the most frequently asked questions about Apple Arcade.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Apple Arcade offers users the first month of the service for free, but honestly warns that in exactly one month they will be charged. Most users mistakenly thought that they could activate the trial version, then cancel the subscription and, nevertheless, be able to use the service for the rest of the month without the risk of payment. But that's not possible.

As soon as you cancel your subscription, it's over. You will not make it to the end of the month – the service will end as soon as you confirm that you no longer need a subscription.

If you still want to cancel your subscription, you need to log in to the App Store and then click the profile icon in the upper-right corner of any page. On the Account tab, you need to click on the "Subscriptions" section, and then tap on the subscription you want to cancel.

How do I make sure that I will not be charged?

There are many ways not to get a bill of 150 rubles for the next month of using Apple Arcade. And all this is quite legal. You can set a reminder on your smartphone so that it will work exactly 29 days after the subscription starts. Or you can choose an event in your calendar, also about one day before the subscription renewal.

Don't forget to set a reminder at least one full day before the payment is due. It's not clear if Apple remembers what time you signed up, so leave a day in reserve to make sure you're not charged.

How do I find games?

When the Apple Arcade service first appeared, the entire list of games was presented there. This turned out to be problematic, because if you were looking for a specific game, you had to scroll through about 100 titles before you found the right one. Now the list of games has been upgraded – it consists of six categories. These are adventure games, beginner games, multiplayer games, platformers, puzzles, and role-playing games.

If the title you need does not belong to any of these categories, you will need to scroll to the end of the Arcade tab in the App Store and click "View all games". Here you will find a complete list of all the games available by subscription. We hope that in the near future Apple will add new categories and ways to find the right titles.
